ABOUT US

It all begins with an idea.

Construction has been a lifelong passion for us. From an early age, we were captivated by the process—watching projects come to life, learning by doing, and always wanting to be a part of it. That passion has since grown into a family tradition.

We’re proud to be the third generation dedicated to the deck building and residential construction industry.

Our grandfather worked as a homebuilder while holding a full-time job as a telephone linesman. In the final decade of his career, he served as a job site superintendent for our father, managing large-scale projects like Walgreens stores, Holiday gas stations, and Sear’s renovations throughout the Twin Cities.

Our father earned a Construction Management degree from Mankato State University and has spent the past 40+ years in commercial construction. On evenings and weekends, he took on side jobs—building decks, framing, finishing basements, remodeling, installing doors and windows, handling excavation, and more. We were always by his side, learning hands-on and falling in love with the trade ourselves.

Today, we specialize in deck building and outdoor living spaces, designing and constructing projects from early spring through early winter. We are proud to be TimberTech Azek Platinum Contractors—a designation earned through our deep knowledge, experience, and craftsmanship. We've toured their manufacturing facility, attended and hosted contractor training events, built their booth annually for the Minnesota Home & Garden Show and others, and have been featured in TimberTech/Azek's national advertising, trade shows, and national TV commercials. We even built our local lumber yard’s curved display deck in their showroom.

We’re also Westbury Railing Master Pro Certified, among several other top-tier credentials we’ve earned.

Our work has been recognized in respected industry publications and local accolades, including:

  • Deck Specialist Magazine

  • LBM Journal

  • The Sun Newspapers Reader’s Choice Awards – Best Deck Builder (Lakeville & surrounding areas, 2025)

  • Home Builder Digest – Named one of Minnesota’s Best Builders/Contractors in the Metro Area (2024)

  • Westbury Railing’s Media Release – Featured in LBM Journal, Wall Street Journal, Star Tribune, Yahoo, Associated Press and more

In just seven years, we’ve completed 300+ custom decks and earned 250+ 5-star reviews across platforms like Google, Facebook, Nextdoor, the BBB, and more.

We’ve been BBB accredited with an A+ rating since 2019. Every single review is 5 stars—something we’re incredibly proud of. We go above and beyond to deliver not only top-quality craftsmanship but also a smooth, enjoyable, and collaborative experience.

When winter arrives, we shift our focus to custom interior work—including basements, bars, garages, bathrooms, kitchens, hidden rooms, and more. What began as a childhood interest has grown into a lifelong passion and a full-time commitment to excellence.

And our story has one more twist: we’re identical twin brothers. Loving what you do is one thing—but getting to do it with your best friend? That’s priceless.

Thank you for considering Twin Brothers Construction for your next project.
We can’t wait to bring your vision to life.
